The Joyful Mysteries
Meditated on Mondays and Saturdays
The Joyful Mysteries focus on the early life of Jesus and the quiet, sacred beginnings of His mission. These moments are filled with humility, obedience, and trust in God.
1. The Annunciation
The angel Gabriel appears to Mary, and she says yes to God’s plan.
Fruit: Humility
2. The Visitation
Mary visits Elizabeth, bringing Christ to others.
Fruit: Charity
3. The Nativity
Jesus is born in Bethlehem.
Fruit: Poverty of spirit / Detachment
4. The Presentation in the Temple
Mary and Joseph present Jesus according to the Law.
Fruit: Obedience
5. The Finding in the Temple
Jesus is found teaching in the Temple.

The Sorrowful Mysteries
Meditated on Tuesdays and Fridays
The Sorrowful Mysteries walk through Christ’s suffering and sacrifice. These are the most difficult to sit with—but also the most transformative.

Jesus accepts His suffering in obedience to the Father.

2. The Scourging at the Pillar
Jesus is brutally beaten.
Fruit: Purity / Mortification
3. The Crowning with Thorns
Jesus is mocked as King.
Fruit: Moral courage
4. The Carrying of the Cross
Jesus carries His cross to Calvary.

5. The Crucifixion
Jesus dies for the salvation of the world.
